IT'S BALMY IN HERE - Elemis Pro Collagen Cleansing Balm

Elemis

Oh my goodness!

This is such a glorious pot of cleanser, I truly can not imagine why I waited so long to try it, but better late than never - and I am rarely a follower of hype.  I'm generally always late to the party.

Elemis have brought out this limited edition 200ml,  25th anniversary edition and it makes for not only pretty packaging but a great product.

The aroma from the jar immediately relaxes you and when on the skin it lifts makeup and impurities like magic. I was amazed at the ease of taking away layers of mascara. The colour reminds me of Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing balm, although the consistency is also in line with this, the Elemis is more emollient.

With a finger scoop of product applied to a dry face with full makeup, it goes to work, I pay particular attention to my eyes and mascara heavy lashes. Within seconds this Rose and Mimosa infused waxy balm has lifted nearly all my makeup from my face, I like to massage for a few minutes and by that time everything is dissolved. Using a flannel soaked in warm water I wipe away the detritus from my face and go in with a second cleanse, this is when I know the first cleanse has been good and done the job of removing my makeup, there is hardly anything on my second cleanse flannel, my skin is clean and ready for my evening products.
One point to note, when working around the eye area, be aware that this gorgeous pot of golden lushness has a bite in the tail, it really stings the eyes, I don't really notice it now but you may want to take eye makeup off separately if you have sensitive eyes.

An impressive product from a reliable brand, definitely a repurchase option when it's gone and though my preference is still Emma Hardie cleansing balm, more for the texture and less waxiness, this comes in a very close second!
