A TALE OF TWO RETINOLS

Loyalty for a product is complicated in the day and age where there is so much choice. I am a creature of habit and have products that I have used for years, although, I do swap and change.
So, here is the tale of a great love and the new kid on the block.

Sunday Riley skincare works for my skin, I love the results and although the Luna Oil does contain colourants to give this oil the blue hue that dissipates when it is blended into the skin. I adore this oil, it smells so sweet and part of the pleasure is with the aroma on the application. Using this product has given me brighter, smoother and softer skin. The price is high, the use of colourants is a disappointment but my skin has welcomed the Retinol and Blue Tansy, this anti-inflammatory, skin calming oil helps to soothe my skin from the day's toils and keeps it in great condition. My query was, could I find another Retinol oil that would achieve the same results but, with a lesser price tag.

Enter stage left, Pestle & Mortar Superstar Retinol Night Oil. The price is lower, it's still in the £60 region, but every little helps.
Now, this had a lot to achieve and I was disappointed with one aspect, the smell. This, of course, doesn't affect the performance of the product, I just like the warmth and sweetness of the Luna oil and I miss it. During the weeks and months of use, this has provided me with beautiful results, smooth and bright skin, it looks healthier and is certainly on par with the Luna oil. So, a no-brainer really, it is cheaper, I get the same results, all I miss is the sweet intoxicating aroma of Luna.
For those ingredients lovers, I have both for you to peruse
