Essence are eyeing up the competition

I love eyeliner, black, thick, thin, however, the drawing on goes that day, it may not peak where it once did, but, I still love the excitement of a new liner. Essence Beauty offers something I have never tried, The Cushion Eyeliner, let's grab a brush and go.

Intensely black and exactly what it says on the lid, a cushion soaked with the product, I used my faithful Louise Young eyeliner brush to apply and it was so easy, the colour transferred onto the brush head easily without any mess. I rolled the head into the cushion and then went to apply to my lid, lots of product, delicate consistency. This gives a lovely sheen to the lid and a nice black depth of colour. I was impressed at the longevity of this liner, it has a watery delicacy about this product but has a density when applying, it lasts all day. 

I prefer this over gel liners, which can clump and often collect along the lid giving an uneven line, this created the perfect line in one application and can be added to if you want a thicker more elongated line to the lid. 

The perfect addition to a subtle or smokey eye, I loved the ease of this product and especially the silky texture, for £3 this is superb and far better than many high-end liners on the market.
