Lola Makeup - multi-tasking time

My collaboration with Lola Makeup has been a colourful one, such beautiful products that apply well to my skin and I've tried things I may not have thought about. When asked to choose this time, a foundation and a powder I had a plan.

The foundation was easy, I wanted a fluid that left a dewy finish and was a complimentary shade for my skin with the colour it has at the moment. I also like a darker shade to add to some of the medium to lighter tones that I already have and Picture Perfect was the choice for me. When it comes to colour matching, I learnt quickly working on a beauty counter about tones of a foundation, the finishes they provided and also was soon able to see a person's skin and generally get it right the first time. I do find matching colours for me quite easy, of course, I have the odd mistake but, I can normally see the tone and just know. Luckily it was the case with this foundation. This applies like silk, evens the skin and literally melts over the skin, it is easy to build the coverage and it leaves a dewy finish to the skin, this can be powdered down if preferred.

My plan, my cunning plan, was with the choice of powder, I rarely use a powder these days, if I do, it's over the T-zone, so thinking sideways I chose a powder dark enough to work with the foundation I had chose but also to work as non-shimmer bronzer, giving a matte warmth to the skin. Dual purpose and it works a treat, I often look bruised with certain types of iridescent powders, they have purple undertones and blended with pink and gold, it doesn't always work on my skin. I also found I needed less product, the pigment of this Lola Pressed Powder was true to the pan colour and gave great payback, smooth to apply and perfect, also, as an eyeshadow or crease shade.

There will be a video coming soon to my YouTube channel featuring both products, keep your eyes peeled. I'll add a link when it goes live.
