My nemesis in the land of beauty are my brows, until my early thirties I didn't give them a second thought. Working in the world of beauty makes you examine your person rather intently and my brows just had to be acknowledged. I plucked them - unenthusiastically, badly and with little thought to shaping, just removing the obvious stray strands.
I have never had my brows waxed, threaded or plucked professionally - it's something I always said I would and even though I know many lovely people highly qualified to attack my brows, the problem is the drinking and talking takes over and brows are forgotten.

In the end I decided to pluck occasionally and keep them tamed with coloured mascara and a clear gel over the top, then a miracle happened, well maybe not a miracle but the obvious was created - a brow gel!

Enter stage left BENEFIT GIMME BROW - this brush on fibre gel, which adheres to the skin and hair and fills in any gaps from over plucking not something I worry about. The precision tip helps shape the arch of the brow and give a nice finish.

On the Boots website there are two shades, light/medium and medium/dark, I use the latter and it's perfect for me.

I comb the colour through and it gives definition and depth to my brows, I know it doesn't help with my hatred of plucking and shaping but it does make feel as though I am least making the effort, finally.

I have tried the Maybelline Brow Drama Sculpting Mascara, a cheaper priced product and with a choice of three shades.
This is a much larger brush compared to the Benefit Gimme Brow Gel.
The darker is perfect for me, but I didn't feel I had the control over the application of the product on my brows as I did with a smaller brush.

They both work and at the end of the day they both control, neaten and give a nice finish to the brows.

For me, I prefer the Benefit Gimme Brow Gel.
