TEOXANE Perfect Skin Refiner

This forms part of a new series of product reviews using samples and monthly box products that are stashed away in my sample drawers. 




First out is Swiss skincare brand Teoxane, this arrived as part of a Glossybox offering and I am always aware my skin needs extra help shedding dead skin cells and help with refining the surface. 
This 10/15% packed Glycolic product offers refinement of the skin resulting in a smoother surface and less visible pores. 
As with all highly concentrated fruit acids, this Glycolic beauty can cause irritation, so it's best to test it first before applying without a care to your entire face. 

 I do have issues with Glycolic but this product certainly didn't cause a reaction, just a spot, a lonesome outbreak under my chin, lurking and lonely, which disappeared after a couple of days of being ignored. 
My skin felt warm to the touch and appeared redder than usual (the warming experience was rather obvious) after application. This abated by the time my tired legs carried me to bed and the surface of my skin was certainly smooth.
The following morning I dared to look at my face before coffee, certainly brighter, smoother, pores were there and I often feel the less you worry the less obvious they appear, I couldn't say they were less visible more that I was focused on my smooth skin. Over time and with regular use this product works on reducing pigmentation, it means commitment to the product rather than dropping in and out. 

Teoxane I use twice a week, avoiding eyes and lips I apply a thin layer, the warmth and redness initially is always a feature for me when I use this but I certainly haven't had anything that would worry me showing on or over my face. 
A nice product that works, not one I would repurchase because I have other products that certainly give me similar results but it's nice to use up a sample and clear the way for more!
