Beauty Diary - skin care and beauty favourites of the moment

I have a long term love for this Daywear Tinted Moisturiser from Estee Lauder. There are so many out there now but this gives such a great warmth to the face and really natural look, it has been perfect during some of the hottest days we've had in the UK.

I have left all my foundations stored away and it's been subtle bases I have reached for over the last few months. This is the product I take away with me on holiday, I never wear makeup during the day but it's nice to make a little effort for the evening and this is the perfect base for holiday skin, superb glow and such a flattering colour. The moisturiser comes out grey from the tube, and then the magic happens, it transforms to the most beautiful skin flattering tone.

Quite a recent buy but certainly one that will be repurchased, this Sugar Face Scrub from Fresh not only smells superb but leaves the skin SO soft and bright.
Apply to damp skin, work for a few minutes and wash away, my skin has never felt so soft.

My years using cleansing balms have enabled me to discover some wonderful brands that take the day away and luckily most of my makeup too. I have a long term favourite balm cleanser but and this is a big BUT (does my but look big in this?), Estee Lauder Cleansing Balm has actually tested my adoration, as this has been such a perfect makeup removal cleanser, gentle and efficient,  a hard balm that works on dry skin and just lifts makeup away, easily, simply and no stinging the eyes either, it lifts the layers of mascara with ease. It performs as well as my favourite but I don't feel it's as enriching for my skin and that's the only reason it's not quite pipped Emma Hardie Cleansing Balm to first place.

I am loving Soleil Tan De Chanel at the moment, I mean loving, it gives such a gorgeous sunshine glow to the skin and is super flattering when combined with the Estee Lauder Tinted Moisturiser.
I use a brush in the hope I won't overload my face and look like the Tin Man from The Wizard Of OZ.
It gives me the right amount of sunshine glow, flattering without being glittery and works so well over any base I choose and under products also. I rarely reach for this during the Winter, my skin tone changes so dramatically but with those warm months, this is a must. I find fluid applications of bronzer and highlighter work far better for me now.

Hopefully, we will still continue to enjoy this beautiful weather the UK has been blessed with, at least so I can delay rooting out my foundations.
