Sunshine & SPF

Two things I love, the sunshine and the obligatory SPF. I have used SPF on my face for years and all year round, my body sees less of the protective coating unless I am lounging on a beach or offering a look at my bare legs through the summer.

Dermalogica has a wonderful tube of Protection 50 Sport, which is water resistant for up to 40 minutes, something both my husband and I look for as snorklers, (I adore snorkelling but it doesn't take long for the Jaws movie theme to start playing in my head, hence my enthusiastic finning back to shore), this gives great protection before, during and after being in the water. All SPF is best applied at least 15-30 minutes before heading out to catch those rays and must always be reapplied throughout the day.
Although a white lotion this Protection 50 Sport blends into sheer coverage, lightweight and no greasy after-touch. Skin feels smoother and hydrated to the touch, this is a great option if you dislike feeling layered in lotion, it never feels too much and has no scent to it.

If you like to cook yourself until you are lobster pink not advisable but I see it all the time and although I never burn, my skin does go brown, which is still skin damage. I rarely suffer from any after-effects but Dermalogica has the perfect cooling option with their After Sun RepairThis lightweight gel calms soothes and reduces irritation caused by sunburn, my husband often forgets to protect the back of his neck and this is perfect to treat that and any other problem areas. Packed with skin soothing lavender, Cucumber and Chamomile, the skin's recovery process is helped.

Both of the suncare products are formulated without artificial colours, fragrances or parabens.

The products featured are PR / GWP unless otherwise stated.
