Beauty Diary

This was the week I discovered I could like other nail lacquers and the fact that they don't have to be red!

L'Oreal tempted me with Greige Amoureux, a gorgeous mink-hued nail lacquer that applies easily with the tapered brush and leaves a silky coat of glorious colour behind. I really love the tone of this shade and have reached for each time since I bought it, the reds are pushed to the back.
It hasn't the staying power of my favourite nail brand Smith & Cult but I can put up with that for the lovely shade upon my nails.
Works for all seasons too, a nail polish for all seasons!

With far more important things to worry about recently, I found myself literally grabbing the first brush that came to hand and using it for anything. Real Techniques contour brush was THE brush of the moment, it applied concealer, highlighter, blush, powder in all the right places and even primer to my eyelids. For now, it is my favourite, but I am fickle when it comes to brushes so it may not stay a favourite.

My holiday skin essential, Estee Lauder DayWear Tinted Moisturiser SPF 15, the title is a little like Royalty, it goes on a bit but you can see the product I am talking about.
This is the product that goes with me on my travels and is worn in the evening when I try and make an effort. The grey tone is uninspiring but it transforms into a skin perfecting tint, that gives my skin that extra glow and evenness I like without being overloaded with product.
I have oddly been reaching for this during the day at home, really loving the look and texture on my skin and actually preferring it to my normal layer of foundation or CC cream. It gives my skin a glow that I like and is a lovely base for makeup.
