The ESSENCE of beauty - BlushPlay Palette, cheeky indeed!

A veritable feast of makeup from Essence beauty awaited the opportunity for me to 'have a play'. The first to share with you is the BlushPlay Sculpting Blush Palette.

The first impression of the BlushPlay palette in the shade Play It Peach was it's similarity to the sunchaser palette from Becca and having used the pans of highlight, sculpt and define, this Essence palette in many ways is far better. Simply packaged, each shade can be used individually or blended together. Firstly the outstanding highlighter, the softest texture, it applies like a cream and gives a flattering sheen to the high points of the face without any disco ball shimmer.

Next Sculpt, a dark rose shade which is perfect for accentuating the apples of the cheeks with a stronger colour, ideal to use over cheek drops, creams and gels. It can be used on its own as a standard blusher but needs the lightest of touch.

I adore this Define shade, the perfect soft pink/peach, this is perfect to blend into the highlighting adding depth to areas and lifting the face. A wake-up blusher, perfect for grey skins on a grey day.
As with all the powders, this is soft and smooth to apply, great colour pigments that last well.

Although the tones are different to the Becca Sunchaser palette, this is certainly a great alternative and the highlighter surpasses the Becca with its superior softness and delicate sheen.

Various shades are available, grab one when you're next in Wilkinsons.
